Senior Financial Analyst – Medical Device Organization (Carlsbad)

A successful and growing, publicly traded medical device organization is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst to add to their dynamic and friendly team. Manufacturing industry experience is required. This is a highly visible position within the organization and requires a combination of strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities include:
• Support the annual financial planning and quarterly forecasting process including cash flow and related analysis.
• Develop complex financial models to support management decision making related to complex business and financial issues. Examples include new product development analysis, product portfolio analysis, profitability of new opportunities, impacts of regulatory or other environmental changes, manufacturing and capital analysis, revenue recognition models and profit margin analysis. Financial modeling to include comprehensive NPV, ROI and cash flow projections.
• Analyze monthly financial results, comparing current period results to plan, forecast and prior periods.
• Recommend, present and implement improvements to existing financial management reporting processes and standards, including key performance metrics.
• Perform additional ad hoc analysis for the CFO, CEO and senior management team.
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly information package for the Board of Directors.

Experience required:
• BS degree in Finance, MBA a plus
• 6+ years progressive finance experience
• A strong working knowledge of corporate finance concepts including NPV, ROI and discounted cash flow projections. General knowledge of corporate accounting principles.
• Requires excellent analytical and advanced financial modeling skills and experience.
• Advanced expertise with Microsoft Excel
• ERP systems and data mining experience required.
• Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry
