Gad Shaanan, formerly of GadShaananDesign, has started a new company; GadLight is focused on developing joint projects with a handful of brands based on business opportunity, market strategy, inventing new products, and strategic design. GadLight is in the process of building a small team of experts in various fields and is currently looking for:

Mechanical Engineer with 5 to 10 years experience in all aspects of developing products for mass production and tooling follow up. Key factors that will be evaluated are passion and ability to generate parts and assembly drawings for injection molded mass produced products. The individual needs to have a keen understanding of integrating efficient part designs into an assembly line geared for high volumes in both low tech and high tech products. Solid Works is our engineering platform and being able to work in a small team environment is important.

The right candidate should be equally comfortable in developing innovative mechanical design solutions with a variety of inputs and constraints, as well as in refining and optimizing designs for high volume production. Strong engineering principles and the ability to apply them effectively using Cosmos FEA are required as is as a high level of modeling proficiency in Solidworks 2009 including the ability to work with design surfaces.
